Scam syndicates working on scamming millions of dollars from unsuspecting clientele from Asia, predominantly China, Taipei, Korea, Hong Kong and ASEAN nations have changed their modus operandi after crackdowns by Chinese and related police authorities.

 

Informed sources told Khmer Times that now scam operators have increased their recruitment fee up to $4,000 per head for an educated individual, preferably from Malaysia, Singapore or Hong Kong as they could possible speak several languages and were proficient in English.

 

“The English proficiency made them ideal candidates to recruit and put them to labour to scam unsuspecting, gullible or greedy westerners who wanted to triple or quadruple their money with ease through various activities.
