MJCM
My Wife has some "old" GBP bank notes. Now a friend from the UK came over and he told her that you have to exchange these "old" GBP bank notes because they are NOT valid any more (from the 1st Oct) Does anyone know if my wife we can exchange these NOTES here in Thailand for new notes OR Thai Baht or must we send these "OLD" bank notes back with the friend to the UK and he exchanges them? But they will be going out of circulation for obvious reasons.

MJCM
Found this. Quote 30 September 2022 was the last day to use our paper £20 and £50 notes for retail purposes. However, there is no need to worry as withdrawn notes can always be exchanged at the Bank of England for new notes at any time after this date. https://www.bankofengland.co.uk/banknotes/exchanging-old-banknotes
