he appeared to be either intoxicated or unstable, according to police reports.

well which was it ? quite important information one would think.

Exactly. The police report is no report at all. Why not add that he might have had a medical episode. Was that considered? Ah no, AN readers know that if he crashes his car he must be drunk.

I actually think they could make Soi Buakhao more interesting by making it a walking street only after a certain time.  Cars can't move much anyway in the late evening.

Maybe all of Central Pattaya - it has become a massive red light district in recent years.

As this happened on October 5th.... Surely they’ve breathalysed him and worked out if he was intoxicated or not by now !!!...

He was taken to the Police station and breathalysed, but the BiB did not release the information.

As usual - half a story without a follow up (and its already 24 hours after the incident)...

....so all we are left with is speculation and of course the inevitable hang-him-high, deport-him, or bang-him-up posts....

October fest comes early in Patts

Not "could" but should.

Soi Baukhao between Soi Diana and Tree Town should become another Walking Street at night.

Of course, nothing will happen until a tourists gets killed, and even then, it will take the global media to publish it.

Once again, Thailand is reactionary, not proactive.  It will take someone, or more than one, to be killed, before any action is taken to protect pedestrians on that part of Soi Baukhao at night.  .
