Two Reporters from CNN were detained and their visas revoked after they entered the childcare center on Friday where the mass shooting took place.

 

Both were fined 5,000 baht each for working without a proper visa, and could face further charges. The reporters claim they had permission to go inside but it appears the person that gave permission didn’t have any authority.

 

CNN issued a statement expressing regret for any distress caused, The Thai Journalist association condemned the actions and The foreign correspondents club issued a statement saying it is dismayed at the actions taken by CNN.

Grieving families gathered at a Buddhist temple yesterday to pray and make offerings to the spirits of their deceased children, funeral rites and cremations are due to take place tomorrow.

 

A mobile phone salesman was shot dead outside the entrance of Khon Kaen Airport early yesterday morning, The 40 year old met two others, a shot was fired by one man the salesman then ran but was shot dead by the second man, according to a witness. Police are reviewing CCTV in their search for the killers. 

 

Local authorities in Nonthaburi are distributing 100,000 sandbags to reinforce the embankment against the rising Chao Phraya River. Water levels have increased due to run off from Chai nat to the north.
