I will start next year a trip from Thailand via Laos to Vietnam and back to Thailand over Cambodia. I will drive with my own Motorbike Honda CB500X. I have a retiremend Visa for Thailand and the Bike is registered of my name and adress here in Thailand. 
What papers do I need to be able to enter and exit Vietnam without any problems? Do I have to deposit a security deposit? Can I use any border crossing? questions upon questions. I've been on my motorbike several times in Vietnam, but always with one that's registered in Vietnam - bought on entry and sold again before leaving the country. But since I have now emigrated to Thailand and have my own motorbike here, I would like to make the trip with it. Can someone give me useful tips and information?
