connda
Paxlovid (Nirmatrelvir-ritonavir) has been shown to negatively interact with heart medications in recent studies. This if very important here in Thailand considering that Paxlovid is now an Over-The-Counter medication - or - if you are cared for in a Thai hospital by a doctor who doesn't keep up with medical literature. If you're on heart meds and plan on using Paxlovid or generic Nirmatrelvir-ritonavir - take heed.https://www.jacc.org/doi/10.1016/j.jacc.2022.08.800 Edited October 14, 2022 by connda
Lorry
Paxlovid is not OTC. It's actually not easy at all to get. Molnupiravir is easier to get (but much less efficient ). A doctor who prescribes Paxlovid doesn't have to read medical literature. There are several interactive websites to check interactions with Paxlovid. Nobody can remember 600 interactions. But interactions with common medications like amlodipine, Xarelto or tamsulosin, most doctors will know how to handle them.
