Irrigation road collapses sending floodwater into three districts of Ayutthaya

Two XBB cases found in Thailand; Covid screening at airports intensifies

BANGKOK (NNT) - The number of hospital admissions due to Covid has been on a continual decline in Thailand, but two cases of the XBB strain have now been found. This has prompted the health ministry to elevate the disease screening intensity at airports to screen for infected persons who traveled from abroad.

Melioidosis awareness campaign launched in Thailand’s Songkhla after five deaths

Plan to resolve water pollution caused by flooded landfills and water treatment facilities

Thailand’s Pollution Control Department (PCD) has prepared manpower and equipment, including drones, to be sent to provinces in which landfills and wastewater treatment facilities are flooded, to help resolve the pollution problem after the floods recede.

Thai Cabinet approves ฿6.6bn for two new bridges in the South

The Thai cabinet approved 6.6 billion baht on Tuesday for the construction of two bridges, over Songkhla Lake to link Krasae Sin district with Khao Chaison district of Phatthalung, and the other to connect Lanta and Lanta Noi islands in the Andaman Sea, in the southern province of Krabi.
