31 Families of victims of the Mountain B pub fire that left 25 dead and many injured have demanded legal action be taken against state officials for dereliction of duty and failing to inspect the building for fire prevention equipment.


The pub was operating without a permit, an exit was blocked and highly flammable acoustic sound tiles had been installed.
 

The government has expressed concerns over pollution, levels of fine dust particles that may be present during the APEC summit due to be held in Bangkok next month. .the level of pm2.5 particles rose to over 50 micrograms per cubic meter in several parts of the capital yesterday.


Uncertainty also rose yesterday as to whether Vadimir Putin would attend due to the ongoing war with Ukraine and the crisis in his country..

 

The government has approved a budget of 6.6 billion baht to construct 2 bridges, one in Songkhla and another to connect two islands at Koh Lanta in Krabi.


70 percent of the funding will be in the form of a loan from the world bank while the rest will be from government funds.

 

Locals are searching for 2 crocodiles after 4 escaped from a farm in Khon Kaen,  the first two were captured quickly leaving two on the loose.  Residents have been warned to take care.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo said the  football stadium where a stampede killed more than 130 people this month, will be demolished and totally rebuilt.


He also agreed to transform Indonesian soccer,"  to be based on standards set by FIFA.
