Germany contributed an additional €16 million to support the Cambodia Health Equity and Quality Improvement Programme (H-EQIP). The H-EQIP is considered a national lighthouse and a flagship health sector project in Cambodia that is highly valued by the Cambodian government.

Martina Koch, Head of Division for Health and Social Protection for Asia from KfW Development Bank Headquarters, said: “The signing of these agreements symbolises our long-standing and trustful financial cooperation, and I am very proud to say Germany through KfW, in particular, has contributed to a remarkable progress of health outcomes and undeniably, the current proven success of fighting against COVID-19 pandemic.”

The objective of H-EQIP is to contribute to the equitable use of quality health services for poor and vulnerable population groups and to intervene quickly and effectively in the event of a health crisis covered by the programme.
