Health officials warn that care and precautions still need to be taken against Covid 19, after 40 Covid related  deaths and more than 2,500 people required hospital treatment over the last week.


The government aims to give at least 2 million doses of vaccines people before the end of the year. 


People most at risk are the over 60s, infants, pregnant women and those with underlying illnesses. 

 

A Thai doctor held captive in Mali for the last 25 days has been released after a ransom of $ 150, thousand dollars was paid to his kidnappers. 


Dr Nopparat  a physician who also runs a travel you tube channel said he was kidnaped while walking along a street in Kem-parana in Mali South west Africa.


After being released, he said he was well and will return to Thailand.

 

Songklah Police have arrested six suspects who were part of a larger group who allegedly robbed 6 local defense volunteers of their pistols, and their car plus the gang's haul of about 20,000 methamphetamine pills.


A 40 year old man was sent to hospital after punching a motorcycle taxi driver in Pattaya in a fit of road rage, the taxi driver apparently retaliated and stabbed the man in the chest with a knife.

 

Friends of a missing Russian woman have offered a reward of 10, thousand dollars to anyone with information that leads to her return.


Around 150 volunteers have been searching for Ms Elena, aged 53 who went missing in Phuket.

   

Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi airport has appealed to taxi drivers to register and service the airport,

Myanmar’s Military carried out air strikes on a music concert being held by the Kachin Independence Organization’ killing  around 50 people and wounded 70, Around a 100 villagers were also affected due debris following the bombing.

 

Bangladesh: Hundreds of thousands of people were being evacuated from the path of a cyclone heading towards densely populated, low-lying Bangladesh.


Cyclone Sit-rang, packing wind speeds of 88 km/hr,  made landfall and swept through the capital Dhaka overnight.
