Scott
Customers are suing a California-based marijuana company, alleging that the company inflated the THC content on its prerolled joints. Adobe Stock CNN — Two disgruntled customers are suing a California marijuana company, alleging that their prerolled joints were not as strong as claimed. The lawsuit was filed on October 20 against DreamFields Brands, Inc. for allegedly falsely claiming that their products have a high THC component, according to the suit. THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is the compound in marijuana that makes users feel high. The two plaintiffs, Jasper Centeno of Long Beach and Blake Wilson of Fresno, accuse the company of unfair competition, false advertising, and negligent representation. The two say they purchased prerolled “Jeeter” branded joints that were advertised as having a high THC content. https://www.cnn.com/2022/10/26/business/california-marijuana-lawsuit-thc-trnd/index.html

Bluespunk
Ah, the irony that legalisation has led to problems of a different kind. In the past, if you were clever, you could at least hide your money away if you went to gaol. Harder to do that when you’re being sued. Tongue in cheek mode engaged alert. Because it's still against federal law, the marijuana businesses do not have access to the banks. Many of the businesses only do business in cash and most have an ATM on the premises--or so I've been told.
