Football -  Highlights from last night's European action, in the Europa league Arsenal were beaten 2-0 in Holland at PSV Eindhoven, Roma won 2-1 in Finland at HJK Helsinki and Cristiano Ronaldo scored on his return to the Manchester United side in their 3-0 win over Sheriff Tiraspol at Old Trafford. Real Sociedad won 2-0 at Omonia Nicosia in Cyprus.

 

In the Europa Conference there were good wins for Fiorentina, West Ham United and Nice. In the Women's Champions League matches played last night Arsenal, Barcelona and FC Bayern Munich all won. All of last night's scores can be found at bbc.com/football.

 

Cricket - Virat Kohli scored a brilliant unbeaten 62 as India cruised to a 56-run win over Netherlands in the Men's T20 World Cup in Sydney.

 

The Netherlands scored 123-9 India scored 179-2 off their twenty overs.Rilee Rossouw smashed the first hundred of this year's tournament  as South Africa completed a 104-run win over Bangladesh also in Sydney.

 

The final match of the day was a thriller as Zimbabwe beat Pakistan by 1 run. Pakistan scored 129 - 8 against Zimbabwe's score of 130 - 8.
