ubonjoe Posted October 28, 2022 Share Posted October 28, 2022 For visas issued by the embassy they are not all the expensive. Extension of stay are all 1900 baht. If you qualify for certain extension you have to have money in a Thai bank. What nationality is your son? What is your age? If he is school age he could enroll in a school and to got a extension for attending a school and you could apply for a extension to extension for being his father. Visa exempt is currently 45 day stamp . That ends March 31. You could consider couple of visa exempt entries via land borders. Personally can't see point of tourist visa vs visa exempt. 60 days vs 45 days. Both can be extended by 30 days. You are permitted 2 visa exempt entries via land per calendar year. Get one in 2022 and couple more in 2023. With youngster in tow choosing where to locate would be important. International schools , even bilingual schools are not cheap or are you just coming to look?
