A large man dressed in black had fired a shot at a display case causing two staffers at the store to flee out back. Picture: 77kaoded He then stole 70 baht weight in gold worth more than 2 million baht. As he fled the store he placed a PVC pipe bomb with a watch timer at the entrance to the store. 77kaoded said this was to delay the police response. An employee at the Mall picked it up and threw it into undergrowth. It was later proven to be fake. Picture: 77kaoded The assailant fled on a Fino motorcycle in the direction of Bang Len. A terrified staffer called Patcharin, 38, told how she and a colleague had heard the man shout "This is a robbery" before he fired his weapon.
