Daily News Thai Caption:You can have it (for free)

Daily News called it yet another good news story and Thai netizens were once again praising a kind hearted and sincere member of the public.

It featured a TikTok post by a tattooist using the name L1LLOLLOL who had been contacted by a potential customer.

The customer wanted a tattoo that was permission to use organs should they die.

It featured a request to get in touch with the Thai Red Cross Society should "this body die".

The tattooist offered the tattoo for free saying they agreed whole heartedly with organ donorship.

It was not mentioned in the Daily News story that the word "red" had been omitted and society was spelt wrong.

Hopefully that might be rectified when the final version is made.

There seems to be a problem with the speelcheck today.

That's a great idea, if a little long-winded.  What is needed is the internationally-recognised logo:

Maybe that was why it was given free.

I agree, it is a really longwinded, but international signs in Thailand  ? but it specifically says Red Cross.

'Organ donor' would be more simplistic, and as Thais normally carry ID cards, it would be much simpler just to have it on their ID cards.

I don't like tattoos or any other form of mutilation.  The general level of literacy here being what it is, this sort of mistake is waiting to happen; and it's semi-permanent.  A lady named Porn proudly showed me her name engraved on her shoulder; it read Corn.

I thought about putting D N R on my chest ????

what's needed is a  national donor database

Edited by it is what it is

I have an organ donor card in my wallet.  I don’t think it would be of any use in Thailand.

The body would be rotten before the paperwork was finished to use any organ.

But a nice gesture by the lad.

Don't think Thailand is very well geared up for this.

yet.

I asked this a few years ago - this seems like a good occasion to try again:

How can I declare myself an organ donor in Thailand?

(Also - How can I donate my corpse to a medical school here)?
