Monk in a sports car - and car on the back of amulet - all highly inappropriate, says top monk

The decay of Buddhism seems to go hand in hand with the decay of the other pillar.

We have a temple nearby and the family does not visit/donate.

(have misc vehicles of which one SUV is cleaned to perfection daily by some "volunteer", air-conditioned library(?), misc satellite dishes, the third temple building with a lot of gold)

Instead family sticks to another one which is far out in the forest and seems to be a bit more "traditional".

The monkhood, or most of it now, has become like any other business and in need to solicit funds to survive, so car depicted on amulets its not a surprise, i'll wait for the one with a half naked bar girl on it and i just might buy one for fun...

Material possessions like this should not be associated with the monkhood and the Buddhist faithful should not be taking part in such activity.

That would relieve the traffic congestion, road deaths and pollution.
