The number of people who signed up for health insurance through HealthCare.gov jumped by 40 percent compared to last year, President Biden said on Friday.

 

“Right now, four out of five folks who sign up for health insurance through the Affordable Care Act can get health care coverage for $10 a month or less. These lower rates were set to expire on Jan. 1 of this coming year, but instead we were able to extend them,” Biden said during remarks addressing business and labor leaders.

Because of Obamacare, the percentage of uninsured Americans is the lowest it's ever been. And if certain Republican states had authorized the Medicaid part of its program to function, there would be a lot more rural hospitals still open in those States. In every Republican state that had a referendum on whether or not to accept expanded medicaid, the measure passed. In some states Republicans try to support the decision of citizens either by raising the percentage threshold for approval or fighting the decision in the courts. They failed.

Great news to see such an outstandingly positive piece of legislation continue to help people.
