NickyLouie
What exactly are the laws for foreigners to own and pilot their own boats in TH.
JustThisOnePostOnly
Get somebody to answer what the rules are for anchoring your boat off the beach, like we see in Pattaya and Jomtien. When the next door neighbor is busy puffing away and all of that noxious smoke ends up in my condo, I often fantasize what it would be like to just be out there instead. Grab delivery to a jet ski guy who performs the last mile probably would work, right?
Phnom Penh Trader
Probably the same as everything else in Thailand for a foreigner so Mai Dai/Cannot?
cjinchiangrai
There is an International size limit where a licensed master is required. I thought it was about 75 feet but it has been decades since I looked. It is so far out of my budget that it falls under trivia. Once you need a professional crew, they could require Thai crew but if you can afford the boat, the crew will be cheap. Pilots for ships are special captains for navigating large ships in restrictive waters. Maybe at the Bangkok ship terminal or the Suez Canal. If you have the kind boat that needs pilots, you can definitely afford it, just ask the crew.
