thaisail
Does anyone know where I can get a bus schedule for Loei to Udon Thani to catch my flight from Udon Thani to Phuket. Have to be at the airport in Udon Thani by 6 pm tomorrow Sunday December 4. I have checked the internet for bus schedules for hours and can't find any schedules on line. Does anyone know a good reliable website for this bus tomorrow?

I append one schedule from the website: https://gotoloei.com These buses are surprisingly slow. Shortest route would be a 150 km. And the schedule says 3 to 4 hours(!) travel time. Maybe due to the "hilly" route from Nong Bua Lamphu. So to be very sure you have to take the 13:00 or 13:40 bus. Your flight goes 19:25. So being at bus station at 18:00 is quite conservative. You won't have a problem wasting some time in Udon. Edited December 3, 2022 by KhunBENQ
KhunBENQ
There should also be minibuses (vans) on this route. But can't find reliable info.

So from her sister's house to Erawan is about 30 minutes so she is offering to take me to Erawan to join the bus there. It looks like the bus is running every half hour. Do you think that change in route could cause a problem? What time would you recommend arriving at the airport for a 1925 flight from Udon? My wife is telling me get off the bus at the intersection where the road goes to the airport and to take a tuk tuk at the Sala where the bus stops at that intersection. This will avoid me having to go into town and allow me to spend more time with my family.

An hour before should suffice. 57 minutes ago, KhunBENQ said: Your flight goes 19:25. So being at bus station at 18:00 is quite conservative. Have to correct myself. Of course better earlier at the bus station. I hesitate to answer on the route change. I am not so familiar with Loei and surroundings. I would go conservative and start from bus station in Loei (where you can see all options available) Indeed it would be a good idea if you can leave the bus before going into the city. It will likely go on #210/216 to the ring road. And from there it's a short hop to the airport. (that's an area that I know quite good) Edited December 3, 2022 by KhunBENQ
Joratewitch
Hello, Normally a bus every two hours. Not sure on Sunday. It takes two hours to Udon bus terminal 2, which is located on the ring road near the airport. I would stay in the bus till the terminal and take a samlor to the airport to avoid waiting one at the crossroads before.

Arrived Nong Bua Lam Phu at 1600. Bus driver said there are no more tuk tuks at the airport crossroads. I will walk! Only 1 km!
