Thailand is preparing to host an international conference on AIDS, between December 13th and 16th in Chiang Mai.

Dr. Tares Krassanairawiwong, director-general of the Diseases Control Department, said today (Wednesday) that the 51st UNAIDS Programme Coordinating Board Meeting will focus on three main topics:

-Community-led responses

-Global partnership to eliminate all forms of HIV-related stigma and discrimination

-HIV and men, in all their diversity and how can we get our responses back on track.

Gay friendly THailand...... promised to civil union Bill and Gay Marriage but although the bills are ready for the parliament they dealy it... But pretending by hosting a HIV conference that the gay community is of their concern

No one here even wants to discuss this. I can’t imagine what in the world they will speak about at the conference. They need to stop putting stigmas on this topic and start teaching about it and the consequences in early school. They are just too afraid of sex education here. Open up. The kids are going to find out one way or another and many the hard way. Sad.
