I just went to KSecurities to open brokerage account and they gave me list of trading fees.

To buy/sell US shares I have to pay 0.08$ per share (minimum 4.99 USD). Am I right that if I want to buy one share for 10$ I have to pay 4.99 commission on that?

Are other brokerage companies in Thailand have the same fees?

Also if you sell at a loss you still need to pay tax. Same as that other great investment called real estate.

I don't know why people bother.

I didn't see any tax for offshore investments.

Why use a Thai broker to buy overseas shares? Thai banks are rip-off merchants.

Use a Thai broker for the corrupt domestic market.
