The Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) has informed Super Broadband Network Limited (SBN), provider of the AIS “Playbox” service, that it will have to pay 6 and 8 million baht respectively if it wants broadcast rights to the semi-final and final match of World Cup 2022.

 

SBN had to respond to the SAT by yesterday (Tuesday), according to the letter from SAT Governor Kongsak Yodmanee addressed to SBN.

 

SBN has informed the SAT that it cannot broadcast the World Cup matches via its IPTV platform due to an injunction issued by the Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court, as sought by True Corporation.
