I have never met so many entitled people

In Australia if you did these things people would tell you to F off

Been in Pattaya a week and had two arguments because people think they can put it over me !

The one yesterday, I'm on the treadmill in the hotel gym, there are two treadmill and only one is working

I'm the only one in the gym

I'm putting it on the highest level and power walking only 5 minutes into it

An elderly farangs man comes in with I presume his two grandchildren all from the UK I could hear his accent

The kids both girls about 7 or 8yo

They walk around the small gym , he comes up to me and says , "how long will you be mate?

I looked at him frail old guy , I said "you wanna use it ?

He said no she does pointing at the young girl

I said I have another 10 minutes to go

He said "oh we don't have 10 minutes!

I said by the look of you ,you probably won't have 10 years !!

The next one was in the Hilton up on the balcony

, I'm sitting at those big chairs by that water pond

, a young Asian girl i believe Chinese with her boyfriend and another Chinese girl they start taking pics standing only centremetres away from my coffee and food taking pics

they then see my annoyance and

ask me can we take your seat as they need to take pics for tiktok

I said I already have my food on the table , where am I going to move to?

The same happened to me a few years ago in a swimming pool in the arcadia condo a big fat Scottish lady ordered 3 men out of the pool whilst her 3 kids swam , I and another man got out whilst a 3rd guy started arguing with her

She was shouting out ! Out !

He was a pathetic looking old man

I remember a few years ago bring on a flight from Bangkok to Melbourne a man who was clearly anxious was standing up as I arrive in the cabin shouting at the cabin crew that his wife's business seat was on the other side of the row and he wanted her to sit next to him

An big Eastern European guy got on and the cabin crew asked him if he would mind sitting on the other side where the wife was , he looked at them

That is not window seat , I want window seat !!

They then asked everyone, and asked me if I swap my seat for his so he could sit near his wife

The guy was watching them ask me , I looked at him and said "what am I getting out of it ?

And the guy near me said "not even a bj

Your life might be easier if you didn't relegate others to replies like this,"I said by the look of you ,you probably won't have 10 years !!

To be fair, anyone who bothers me in the gym with that question, gets short shrift. I do give them an answer, but not one that details any time nor my regime.

In the case of the OP, it's quite likely that I would have ignored him completely. If I didn't and was still in the middle of a session, but willing to give it up for the little girl, I would have asked how long they had if they didn't have ten minutes. If they had only five, then I would hold them to that five minutes 😊 She would have five minutes and then be expected to get off.

Obviously, I'm not one to be manipulated nor to have the wool pulled over my eyes 😊 It's not a question of respecting elders.

"relegate others to replies..."? Methinks that you should refrain from using words of which you do not understand the meaning.

I looked up "Arrant" on the internet, but I did not have cause to use it.

"Arrant nonsense on the internet" would be a tautology.

I don't see tautology in that sentence. Perhaps hyperbole.

If its on the internet, its nonsense.
You're quite new to the internet aren't you?

Not quite. See the comment after yours. The dream hadn't yet progressed to the part where he said he was flying in business class.

But arrant means 'complete' or 'utter'. They are not synonyms for 'nonsense'.

A tautology is not a combination of synonyms, it is a combination of things which must inevitably be true, like "on the internet" and "nonsense"; I think we are proving my position as we speak

Since when has a mop weilding hospital cleaner flown business class?

I disagree, since many useful things can be discovered via the Internet. Your sentence is merely exaggeration for the sake of effect. Hence, hyperbole rather than tautology.

Don't be another freddy, insisting that you are right despite all evidence indicating otherwise. Let's just keep it to banter.

Given that I had relied on the internet to check the meaning of "Arrant", I don't feel that I have a leg to stand on.

You're staying at the wrong hotels.

You need to stay at the 1 Patel motels in the US and Canada which are owned by one Indian family with the name "Patel". They used to be accountants for the British. Good with money. The smell of curry and the low security hotel doors that looks like any skinny white guy on crack could break down keeps the yuppie riff raff away.

You won't meet any entitled <deleted> there. ☺️

Reminds me of when traversing the west coast of the USA, coming upon a Chinese run motel. Just...NO. Even when they knocked US$10 off the price. Thank you, but no. Dark and dingy and cover in cobwebs...what were they thinking?

Kept driving and found a nice one for just US$12 more.

Where did you meet your boyfriend?

Where did you meet your boyfriend?

On the Internet. By the name of @Rockyroad

He seems to invite men to meet him in Bangkok on a regular basis. I suspect he is one of those in the closet. I haven't the heart to tell him that I only meet with women and that he's not my boyfriend at all. He keeps trying to chat me up, asking about my age and my hobbies. A bit of a sad weirdo prowling the Internet for friends.

We haven't actually met and there are no plans to do so, as he seems to suffer quite seriously from mental health issues.
