Thailand International Boat Show

 

The popular Thailand International Boat Show will once more take place in Phuket from January 12-15, following a 3 year break due to the pandemic. TTR Weekly reports that the event will be held at Royal Phuket Marina, showcasing the yachting industry in Phuket and Thailand to luxury boat owners from places like Hong Kong and Singapore.

3 people dead, 9 provinces flooded, over 1000 villages “submerged”

Southern Thailand is experiencing ongoing heavy rainfall, with 3 people dead and 9 provinces severely flooded. According to a Phuket Express report, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation says monsoon rains have affected the Gulf of Thailand in the southern part of the country.

Health minister confident COVID infections over New Year are controllable

Thailand’s Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul is confident that COVID-19 infections during the New Year celebrations will be kept under control, as the Public Health Ministry is fully equipped with manpower and medical supplies to cope with the situation.

Cold weather brings brisk business to some Pattaya clothing vendors
