Labor Ministry and truck operators jointly cooperate to develop logistic system

Ministry of Labor has mobilized force from truck operators nationwide to develop logistics system in preparation for the growth of logistic sector. The Land Transport Federation indicates that over 700,000 truck operators are facing high cost of logistics.

A seminar for truck operators is held at Miracle Grand Convention Hotel at Bangkok; the purpose of the seminar is to enhance knowledge of logistics to truck operators. The Deputy Permanent-Secretary to the Labor Minister, Mr. Tapabut Chomsewi (ฐาปบุตร ชมเสวี), reports that Thailand’s logistic is growing, and transport by trucks gains the most popular in the logistic sector. As a result, quality of transport by truck should be improved, leading to a reduction in cost.

According to Mr. Yu Jienyeunyongpong (ยู เจียรยืนยงพงศ์), President of the Land Transport Federation, he says most truck operators are currently encountering high cost of transport due to the soaring of oil prices. He also remarks truck operators should increase its efficiency of its management to reduce the cost.
