I am using the Naui 310 from gamrin in Bangkok and am happy. My father ( 67 ) wants to get something similar but i have no clue what works well.

They will be doing a round the country trip, and main worry is passing through big cities. They love the pre-loaded database on my gamin and are totally a-technical, and would never be able to sync a gps waypoint with a laptop, and as such, the POI ( petrol stations / osptals / parks ) should be pre-loaded as is with my garmin.
