Thai Atm

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a Malaysian bank account which is offered by Maybank. I have an ATM card which sits on the PLUS network. Will I be able to withdraw money via this ATM card from an ATM machine in Bangkok?

Thanks

Most Thai atm's are linked to all the major systems so the question is will your Malaysian bank allow foreign access to your funds. If they will there should not be any problem. Thai banks have had easy international access far longer than Malaysia in my experience.

I concur with lopburi. Malaysian exchange controls might limit your access. But just make sure you use an ATM that displays the PLUS logo.

If your card uses the PLUS network, then you'll have no problems finding ATMs in Bangkok.

Here's a link to find PLUS network ATMs.

Yeah I'm just worried that for some reason my bank in Malaysia has blocked access from overseas as mentioned by some members. Thanks for the link :o.
