Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of bankrupt crypto exchange FTX, pleaded not guilty to criminal charges, setting up a high-stakes legal battle that pits him against two of his closest former business partners.

The 30-year-old entrepreneur, who is out on a $250 million bond, was arraigned in federal court in Manhattan on Tuesday, flanked by attorneys and with his mother, Barbara Fried, sitting behind him. Attorney Mark Cohen entered the plea of not guilty to all counts.

As far as I know his options are limited.

Pleade not guilty and hope for the best or worst case go for 100 years to jail.

Make a deal and only go for 50 years to jail.

I am pretty sure the numbers are not correct, but there is no good option for him.

Which is, IMHO, fair enough. He should go to jail, for a long long time.

He must have graduated from the Bernie Madoff University.
