wjmark 84
Will be in Buriram or a few weeks. Any recommendations for a cheap comfy place to stay? Prferably central Any way to rent a condo/room with basic kitchen for a short time? Also, is there a pool around, and a decent place to rent a Honda Wave motorcy? Any suggestions about Buriram are welcome.. thanks Also, has Nakhonchai Air cancelled their bus to Chiangmai?
youreavinalaff 2491
Ray Hotel and Sita Princess are good hotels. Both have swimming pools. There was an expat with motorcycle rental on the corner of the entrance to the bus station. Not sure about NCA to Chiang Mai. ( just checked the website. Still showing. You might need to search Ubon to Chiang Mai, as that is where the bus starts.) Edited January 5 by youreavinalaff
KhunLA 16465
Cool weather overnight, so might not get to much use out of a pool. Getting a scooter shouldn't be much of a problem. Can't help with hotel, been long time since I stayed there.

proton 10052
Don't forget to go up the volcano, interesting and nice views. Stayed at the Ray hotel in Sept, not impressed with the bathrooms had to move room as toilet blocked, then shower unit tied up with string, quite new though.
Startmeup 50
Stayed in Ray hotel twice and it's quite good if you like to use pool/gym. Rooms are fine too. Food from menu was good the first time not so good the second time and breakfast is ok, egg station the best part of it for me. can pay anywhere from 800-1000. It does get busy at times with meetings and weddings and other events on around the city.
