Daily News Thai Caption: Tiger hunt ordered!

Daily News reported on the actions of the authorities in Kanchanaburi in western Thailand after a tiger ran in front of a local's vehicle at 4 am yesterday.

It happened in the Sai Yok area specifically at Khao Wang Pho.

Trackers found tiger prints of 14 cm width and 16 cm length at three spots.

They judged the stride of the tiger at 1.2 meters.

Many local officials including police were in the area later trying to find the tiger and warn the public.

If found it will be rehabilitated elsewhere.

ASEAN NOW notes that in a survey last year Thailand was thought to have around 174 wild tigers.

Though tiger sightings are quite rare and tiger attacks even rarer they are being increasingly reported in the local media.

Bet they catch it and it ends up in a tiger 'farm' where it will 'misteruousky' vanish once people forget about it.

What's it done wrong?  Its a native animal here in thaoland.  Leave it in nature where it belongs.  You can't just move it somewhere else.  If other tigers are in the area they will fight or kill an intruder into their territory.
