Technology police join probe into suicide of victimised boy

Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD) officers have joined Pak Kret district police in Nonthaburi province in the investigation of the suicide of a 15-year-old student, after he was allegedly cheated by an online scam gang.

 

According to a relative of the victim, the 9th grade student, attending a school in Nonthaburi, wrote a letter admitting that he stole 15,000 baht from his family to pay an online employment service, believing it would secure him an online job. He did not get the job and did not get a refund.

 

The unnamed relative said the boy was, apart from the theft of money, a good student with good results and should not have committed suicide.

Police to Seek Arrest Warrants for Scammers Linked to Teen’s Suicide

 

 

NONTHABURI, Jan 10 (TNA) – The cyber police will seek arrest warrants for online scammers in the case linked to the suicide of a -15-year-old boy.

 

The boy committed suicide by hanging himself near his house in Nonthaburi after being scammed by the cybercriminal who had deceived him to transfer the money worth 15,000 baht in total as an investment to earn a profit by purchasing goods for resale.

 

He withdrew money from his patents’ accounts and transferred to the accounts as demanded by the scammer.

Feel sad for the student... scammed and ended up committing suicide.

Also sad that he felt he had to steal from his family instead of asking them for advice first?

I do wonder what the online thieves do with there conscience when causing a persons death from there greed .

If caught then they should be charged with manslaughter at least .

That's the big problem over here ( as well as the UK these days), they don't parent, they think being a good parent is spoiling them and giving in to them.

 

They just aren't there for guidance, advice, help and assistance.

 

The famous mantra here is to wait while things go completely wrong and then ' deny,deny, deny responsibility '

 

Terrible that should a young boy thought this was an option!
