As the 40-seat passenger bus was moving in Dong Thap Province on Tuesday night, a passenger named Le Hiep Hoa, 37, approached the driver, Phan Thanh Tung, and tried to steal his smartphone. When the driver grabbed him, Hoa took out a pair of scissors and threatened to stab him. Hoa then grabbed the steering wheel, causing the bus to plow into a canal.
