webfact
Over 27,000 professional and amateur runners are expected to join the 7th Buri Ram Marathon 2023 today (Saturday), in Thailand’s north-eastern province of Buri Ram. Provincial Governor Chaiwat Chuntirapong estimates that this major sporting event, which starts at 6.30pm and finishes at about 2.30am, will generate about one billion baht in revenue for Buri Ram and its neighbouring provinces, through spending by the runners and their families, including hotel accommodation. The start will be at the Chang International Circuit and the full 42km course has received the approval of the World Athletics label Road Races organisation, whose representatives will attend the event.
