Thailand plans to make full use of its soft power, which includes Thai boxing and food, in the hope of attracting more tourists to visit Thailand this year.

Acting Government Spokesman Anucha Burapachaisri said on Monday that Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha hasinstructed all relevant government agencies to promote the tourism sector through the use of Thailand’s “5Fs”, which include Thai food, Thai films, Thai fashion, Thai boxing and Thai festivals.

For Thai food, Anucha said that the government will declare 2023 as the “Year of Thai Gastronomy”, during which the Bangkok International Food Festival will be held. The concept of “walking streets” will also be expanded.

Sigh....don't these clowns at Thai PBS realise how stupid they look when they report something that looks like it was written by an 8 year-old.

A 2 second Google informs me that every other English language news source has managed the gargantuan task of actually including 5Fs in the 5F list, with Thai boxing included as "fighting". (Insert puns here...)

I can't be arsed to make any comments on the actual strategy itself, in much the same way that Thai PBS can't be arsed to write above an infant school level.

You goons keep making up these juvenile mottos. You really want more tourists? You want affluent tourists? How sincere are you guys? What sacrifices are you willing to make to really attract them?

1. Fix the place.

2. Fix the traffic safety issues.

3. Fix the air quality issues.

4. Address the trashing of the land and the sea.

5. Lower luxury and wine taxes, dramatically.

Practical solutions are needed, not meaningless hyperbole and mottos.

Removed some unintelligible posts.

Tempted to say stop using tourists as cash cows... with airport exit taxes, 10x entrance prices for Nationals Parks, Theme Parks and Attractions, victimization by traffic police...punitive, complex and expensive Visa/Extension processes....etc  etc.....
