77kaoded Thai Caption: Crane topples onto a house

 

77kaoded reported that a mobile crane had fallen on a house in Nonthaburi, north of the Thai capital Bangkok.

 

It weighed 50 tons and was engaged in construction work.

Fortunately no one was injured at the property that was being refurbished at the time. 

 

It happened at an estate in the Bang Yai area.

The owner of the house Kanthiya, 43, showed reporters damage to her downstairs kitchen and her son's bedroom.

 

A site foreman said a supporting leg of the crane had collapsed and its arm had hit the house.

Compensation would be the subject of negotiation later.
