webfact 160586 Posted January 30 Share Posted January 30 Daily News Thai Caption: Loving couple thieves Police in Thonglor, Bangkok, announced the arrest of what Daily News said were a loving couple of motorcycle thieves. Pol Lt-Col Natthakit Jokkhoksung, deputy station chief, appeared with the thieves and four bikes they had stolen. They are 32 year olds Phitsanu and his girlfriend Piyawaraporn. They have admitted charges of theft at night using a conveyance or fencing stolen goods. The case began on January 11th when the Thonglor cops were told of the theft of a Honda Wave from a PTT gas station in Rama 4 in their jurisdiction. CCTV was utilized that traced the thieves to a rented room in the Huay Khwang area of the Thai capital. Phitsanu admitted to having no job and moving around daily rental apartments in the city. The couple had been stealing motorcycles for more than 2 years and particularly targeted markets and gas stations. They would sell the bikes for 20,000 baht a time to a fence who then took them to a neighboring country.
