Popular Post webfact
Picture: Naew Na Naew Na reported that Chiang Saen immigration in conjuction with border police at Chiang Khong, Chiang Rai, arrested a 24 year old Kenyan national with a fake stamp in his passport. He was thus on overstay. Kelvin had come to Thailand legally on a tourist visa then a private company had arranged for his to work in Myanmar opposite Mae Sot. They handled everything. He worked there for two months then went to Bangkok. He had been unable to resume work in Myanmar due to unacceptance from the Myanmar authorities at Mae Sot so he tried his luck at the Mitraphap crossing in Chiang Rai where he was arrested. He planned a tourism trip to Laos then a return to Kenya. He blamed the company that took him for employment for the fake stamp. He was detained ahead of prosecution. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2023-01-31 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. He blamed the company that took him for employment for the fake stamp. Doesn't make sense at all! Why are there Myanmar authorities in Mae Sot, and why did he get a 'fake stamp'? - This story is incomprehensible, but I guess, he was unable to either leave Myanmar, or enter Thailand, so his company organised (a) fake stamp(s)...
