The most targeted items by thieves include electrical wire, traffic signal equipment, transformers, steel mesh and W-beam guard rails. According to the department, electrical wire worth about 13 million baht was stolen last year. Losses from the theft oftransformers is estimated at 8.2 million baht, while steel worth2.2 million baht was taken, along with 1.5 million baht in W-beam guard rails and traffic signal equipment worth 1.5 million baht.
