in the US, we call them “golden berry “ if that is 12-15mm diameter. Rich in antioxidants, slightly tart.

Cape gooseberry. They sell them in Lotus's.

AKA Peruvian Ground cherry I think.

Thanks Everybody - Although someone gave me some here in Thailand  I had encountered these in the UK many years ago  and I had forgotten the name - your posts helped me find out what they were called then - cape gooseberries.

Grow easy from seed. Save a few berries from the markets. Have a batch just about 20mm high at the moment should be able to plant out soon.
