When we think of Thailand’s best-selling female artists of all time, Christina Aguilar, who is widely dubbed as the country’s “Queen of Dance”, is at the top.

Now she is taking on a new role as the “Champion of UNFPA”, to advocate for gender equality, including several related issues, such as eliminating gender-based violence and improving access to sexual and reproductive health.

“I have got to say that I am very excited, and I feel very honoured that they are trusting me in taking on this new role and to be part of the UNFPA family.”

-Advocating for gender equality-

Though Christina has been known as an artist, what people may not know is that she has been advocating for gender equality. She explains that her fans were her main inspiration, as most of them were from the LGBTQ community. She would also invite her fans to make merit and donations, in which they have visited orphanages, shelters for women and children and nursing homes for the elderly.

Thailand doesn't have time for all this woke tripe, thankfully.

Sound good..Ninja was certified for platinum 1 million copies sold from her first album… A first for a Thai female singer.

I wonder how many people buying her music got confused with the very similarly named singer...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christina_Aguilera

Thank you, I am one of those confused.

Now finally I know why she doesn't look Thai.

I'm changing my name to Ed Shearan.

Thailand’s “Queen of Dance”

Yeah, right......

"She does NOT have Thai heritage, but sometimes is mistaken for Thai because of her ability to speak fluent Thai."

Surfing on the coattails is the only thing Thai I see going on here.

Only problem is she can't dance, kids down the local Wat did a better job than this overweight oldish woman at their school concert last night.

Aguilar is 14 years older than the American singer and sold most of her records before Aquilera started recording.

It's her birth name from her Filipino father.

Oh dear! Why is it Thailand seems to jump on the bandwagon of anyone remotely famous as their own.  They did the same with Tiger Woods which backfired and was made to look stupid and told the press he wasn't Thai in any form. Then there was the same thing with Vanessa May, the Violinist.

Thailand has their own home grown talent and they don't need to adopt every famous artist, who has minimal links or zero links to the country. It is tacky and shows signs of desperation.

She's not Thai.  Aguilar is the daughter of Filipino musician Tony Aguilar and French-Vietnamese mother Margaret. She was born in Bangkok. And not a dancer either.
