Consumer protection officers arrested a Chinese man in Samut Prakarn and seized fake cosmetics, bags and more than 67 thousand items worth some 14 million baht. The man denied possession and selling of fake goods and said he was only packing them for Chinese online customers.


Authorities warned the public to be aware and ensure only legitimate goods are ordered online. 


Deputy National Police Chief Surachate Hakparn will charge  more than 100 immigration officers allegedly involved in illegally issuing visas for Chinese and other foreign nationals linked to dodgy businesses in Thailand.


Hakparn will file the complaints in the north eastern cities of Khon Kaen and Udon Thani.
