snoop1130
An army cadet and a master sergeant were killed when the light tank in which they were travelling overturned in during a joint exercise being held in Lop Buri province today (Tuesday). Initial reports indicate that Cadet Puwanai Kamlungdee and MSgt Sa-nga were thrown out of the Scorpion light tank as the driver tried to avoid a collision with a truck coming from the opposite direction on a dirt road in the exercise field. The two injured men were immediately rushed to the Ananda Mahidol Hospital, but were pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Popular Post herfiehandbag
Scorpions are fast - 80kph plus. They will roll if you try to corner or swerve at that speed. The 75mm gun in the turret is mounted relatively high up in a light (aluminium) vehicle which doesn't help. That is one of the reasons why you should keep your body inside the vehicle ( head only out of the hatch) and wear an AFV crewman's helmet. If they were thrown out I wouldn't mind betting that they were standing up on the seats, top halves of their bodies out of the turret.
