Scott
US federal investigators will not charge Florida Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz for sex-trafficking crimes, US media report. His lawyers also released a statement that said the case had been dropped. The two-year investigation tried to determine whether the congressman had crossed state or international borders to have sex with underage girls. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-64644518
thaibeachlovers
TWO YEARS!!!!!! What the <deleted> is going on with the justice department that they can't sort it in a more reasonable period of time? IMO there needs to be an investigation into justice department tardiness. I hope he sues them for holding that over him for such a long time. 1

I hope that Gaetz does sue the DoJ, ‘Discovery’ would be very interesting, which is why Gaetz will almost certainly not sue the DoJ.

Looks like his wide ranging preemptive pardon for any crimes he committed before Trump left office will be not needed for this case. Doubt he will sue as the process of discovery will be unpleasant for him.
Popular Post Bkk Brian
Interesting, never knew about this: A former Florida tax collector whose arrest led to a federal investigation into the US congressman Matt Gaetz has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for sex trafficking of a minor and other offenses. Greenberg’s cooperation could play a role in an investigation into his friend Gaetz https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2022/dec/02/matt-gaetz-friend-joel-greenberg-sex-trafficking I would hazard a guess that his testimony was not considered credible, being a convicted felon himself? 2

Whitewater Benghazi I'm sure Matt's young "adopted" son, Nestor, is happy his "daddy" will not be prosecuted. Gaetz was reported to have sought a pardon from Trump for these potential charges. Wingman Greenburg, and the underage (at the time Gaetz allegedly had relations with them) women, were probably not reliabe/believable witnesses, which is a must in a she said/he said scenario. Venom-ing cash to women is hardly illegal if you can't prove it was for sexual services. Matt's dodged a lot of bullets over the years. His daddy pulls a lot of strings for junior.

Especially those with the financial resources to be able to hire lawyers in order to delay investigations, challenge subpoenas is court and otherwise run out the clock. 4 2

Popular Post tontotoronto
The left does not like Matt Gaetz because he's smart and effective and they used their deep state gang to go after him and set him up. "A group of New York Times reporters who won awards for their roles pushing the Russia collusion lie penned an anonymously sourced article with a devastating headline: “Matt Gaetz Is Said to Face Justice Dept. Inquiry Over Sex With an Underage Girl.” Interestingly, Gaetz never seemed fazed by the allegations—and now we know why: There was nothing there. Even the hyper-politicized DOJ has conceded that it cannot pursue him for sex trafficking. Now, almost two years later, the DOJ (I’m sure reluctantly) has admitted that it will not (read: cannot) charge Gaetz: The Justice Department will not pursue charges against Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., after a years long probe into sex trafficking allegations.
