As the case of the missing infant "Nong Tor" dragged on in to a third week, last night deputy commander of the RTP Pol Lt-Gen Surachate Hakpan was on the scene again.

 

The top cop - known as Big Joke - had been highly critical of the Bang Luang, Nakhon Pathom police last week for their bungling in the case.

 

But despite throwing everything into the investigation it appears that Big Joke and his men, despite RTP rhetoric, are no nearer solving the mysterious case.

 

 

Nong Tor, aged 8 months, went missing from his Bang Len home on February 5th. His young mother and step dad were there at the time.

 

They have been subjected to lie detector tests. Surachate has put Pol Maj-Gen Chartchai Liamsnguan in charge, reported Daily News.

 

But no charges have been laid yet.

 

The infant has not been found and there is no evidence to suggest he has been harmed.

 

 

But all those involved are still in the area and Surachate is still confident that the case will be solved.

 

He said: "We have followed up on every lead. But people are still lying."

 

He said that whoever took the boy should own up now, delaying the admission would only make matters worse for them.

 

The mother has been assessed for mental health issues and reports on her state of mind are due out next week.

Big Joke needs to spend a bit more time working on his abs.

Odd comment..... he seems more focused on  getting the job done rather than looking pretty! A protruding belly is as much part of the uniform as the tight brown shirts!
