An Angry Birds themed kids playground on Jomtien Beach near the Jomtien Night Market has had badly needed repairs.

We have previously written about the playground here when officials placed signs in Thai closing the area for “future repairs.” However, the signs were widely ignored, largely as the signs were only in Thai and many regular users of the playground are Eastern European, leading to widespread fence climbing to access the popular area.

In fact, the playground had been in need of repairs since back in 2021, however, due to Covid-19 restrictions the playground was closed for most of the year.

I remember when that playground first opened up, it was truly beautiful. The truth is kids are tough on EVERYTHING, it's in their nature to destroy. The school I'm currently teaching at is going to have to replace the seating that was installed for Covid cuz the kids have torn it apart. Little fingers busy at anything to distract themselves from their schoolwork.

It's not that old, just poorly constructed using cheap materials, installed by Incompetant workers.
