The Thai driver Sahathep, 30, said he'd been paid 5,000 baht to take the migrants to Muang Kanchanaburi.

He was named in two warrants for his arrest in drugs cases.

The migrants said they had paid 20,000 to 30,000 baht each to go to work in Thailand and Malaysia.

They were on their way to jobs in Kanchanaburi, Samut Sakhon, Bangkok, Rayong as well as Malaysia.

All of the migrants and Sahathep are now in the custody of the Sai Yok police.

Good money for some.

I hope the migrants name the places where they were supposed to be employed, just to stop any future re-occurrence.
