Parking on Pattaya Beach Side is No Longer Allowable, Starting Today, March 1st

From today, March 1st, and onwards people can no longer park their vehicle on the beach side of the road in Pattaya due to incresing traffic issues and congestion.

Thai police are investigating the death of a US serviceman, who was found lifeless in a bathroom of the 31st Infantry Regiment of the Royal Guards barracks in Lop Buri yesterday morning (Wednesday).

Scene from the home of the 57-year-old Finnish national Markku Tapani Karjalainen and his Thai wife 49-year-old Aranya Srisaeng on Tuesday as police examined the residence for evidence took a statement from Ms Aranya (inset top) and reviewed the scene where the body of the Finn was found earlier in the morning with his throat cut (inset bottom).


The 49-year-old wife of 5 years reported that 58-year-old Markku Tapani Karjalainen was beset by troubles at home in Finland. He had returned 9 months previously from his home country and purchased a home in the Sattahip district of Chonburi near Pattaya after being away for 2 years.

Man arrested with 30 live monitor lizards and a large quantity of reptile flesh

Wildlife officials and police have arrested a man and seized 30 live monitor lizards (Varanus salvator), 59 lizard carcasses and several live turtles in a raid on an illegal slaughterhouse in Suphan Buri province.

Ukrainian Fined in Phuket for No Driving License after Being Suspected of Being an Illegal Taxi Driver in Chonburi

Phuket authorities introduce “red card” system for foreigners who break the law

A new initiative called the “Red Card” system has been launched in Phuket, Thailand, to crack down on bad behaviour or law-breaking by foreigners. The initiative was announced by Praphansak Prasansuk, a senior Immigration officer, at a press conference attended by a horde of high-ranking officials yesterday.
