Education Ministry to Recruit Retired Teachers as Volunteer Educators

Thai Smile Bus to Expand Bus Routes in Bangkok in 2023

BANGKOK (NNT) - In a bid to become the largest bus operator in Bangkok, Thai Smile Bus announced plans to nearly double its fleet of electric buses to 3,100 and expand its coverage to 122 routes this year. Currently, the privately owned company operates 1,250 electric buses on 71 routes in the capital city.

Officials issue 24/7 alert over thousands of fires across parts of Thailand

The Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation has issued an urgent alert as thousands of forest and plantation fires have been detected across parts of Thailand. According to a Nation Thailand report, Atthapol Charoenchansa, the department’s acting director-general issued a 24/7 alert yesterday.

Charter Court rules non-Thais be excluded in calculation of constituency MPs

90 percent of hotspots in northern Thailand caused by human activity

White lion cub found roaming around Pattaya, tracked to Chinese owner

A Chinese man in Pattaya has sparked concern among neighbours after allowing his pet lion cub to roam freely within his residential area. According to a Pattaya New report, the police and wildlife officials visited the man’s home in the Banglamung district and found a white lion cub. The Chinese national, named as 39 year old Shen Tai, has confirmed the cub is his.

Two Thai Poachers Arrested for Trading Protected Monitor Lizards and Turtles

Police and authorities from the Natural Resources and Environmental Crime Division arrested two Thai men on Tuesday for trafficking protected animals. Over 100 carcasses of monitor lizards and turtles were seized.
