Daily News reported on the detailed reenactment of a double murder in Ranong, southern Thailand at the end of last month.

A tourist policeman and his university student girlfriend were gunned down by the woman's ex.

Dead at the scene in Soi Ban Ma Suay, in Muang district last month were Ranong tourist police sergeant Alongkorn Pengklat, 28, and Wisa Rortyai or "Kukkik", 22, a student studying tourism.

Police soon discovered that the shooter was Kukkik's ex, a man called Uthit Matthong, 30, a dentist's assistant at a hospital who surrendered to police.

Yesterday Special Action Force police took the murderer to the scene. He was wearing a bullet proof vest and bike helmet.

The reenactment featured a total of nine different places all in the soi.

Firstly the accused showed how he had parked his Mazda 3 30 meters from the house. He then went to the darkened house where he observed his ex and the policemen in a bedroom where the light was on.

He went back to his car and retrieved a fully loaded 9mm gun that he put in the back of his waistband.

He then waited by Kukkik's parked pick-up to ambush the couple.

A woman arrived outside the house and called to the people inside. They came out and the three were then preparing to go out.

Uthit advanced on them and first shot the policeman multiple times then shot his ex until she was dead too.

The visitor to the house fled the scene.

Reporters asked Uthit if he had any word of apology to the relatives of the deceased.

He had nothing to say and was taken away. He has been charged with the couple's premeditated murder and weapons offences.
