In a joint operation Bang Poo police and Samut Prakan provincial police quickly went to places habituated by the offender and flushed him out.

He was arrested yesterday under  the Bang Pakong bridge in Chachoengsao, central/eastern Thailand, and taken into custody.

It emerged that the suspect had found out that his wife had been chatting with another man.

The wife had gone to stay with a friend for 4-5 days after which the couple had attempted to reconcile by going to a temple to make merit.

But while they were parked near a golf course the husband was set off into a rage as the wife again chatted with another man.

A 40 cms knife was taken into custody along with the suspect.

The brutal nature of the case shocked Thailand and was covered by every news outlet including Thai Rath.

Again a situation where it becomes too much for a single brain cell.

Wow! It's a lose-lose situation. They could have agreed to split up. She was silly to contact another guy with her husband right there. Too much stupidity and jealousy for this union to ever continue. Sad.

Ah no, that won't get back the face he lost, better to get it back doing time in jail, fragile wimp!

Strange culture with all this "losing face" <deleted>. Instead, it was better for him to burn her face off in his mind rather than losing his.

My sympathy that it's too much for you to read about but no need to be so hard on yourself.

Often hear from the Mrs that a Thai bloke asked if I minded if he talked to her at a social gathering or one might be worried about being a friend on social media etc. They are not like us are they!

And then he loses even more face by spending years in jail. But he wouldn't have  thought of that. That's step 2 thinking, not a common trait in Thais. They just live in the moment. You see it most commonly in the way they drive, with no thought of the possible consequences. It's a very strange society.

usually they shoot them first......

Almost all of this type of news amazes me that men here just don't get the idea of self esteem.

She is with you, probably because she loves you (or other reasons) and you get to be with them, so please be grateful for however long it lasts!

If she wasn't worth it, you wouldn't be with in the first place (with so many fish to choose from)!

Thais have less decency in threating woman than Muslims.

Muslims will throw stones at them instead of setting them on fire and stabbing them.

I am more astounded he was able to continue this and even drive off without people intervening successfully!
